General information
Our founder Roman has been crafting schnitzels since 1974. As a boy, Roman was taught the traditional way of cooking schnitzels by his mother in their Polish kitchen. Nothing was more important in Roman’s household than time spent with his family sharing delicious, home cooked food. When Roman grew up he moved to Australia, armed with his mother’s love of cooking and a special family recipe. Roman opened several restaurants, each featuring his signature pan cooked schnitzel on the menu. In 2007 the family decided to make the schnitzel the centrepiece of the menu and started a small city café in Melbourne called Schnitz.
