General information
The promotion of photography as a cultural asset is the central purpose of the F.C. Gundlach Foundation. Exhibitions, publications and projects are as much a part of its activities as scientific research work in the field of photography. With the founding of the House of Photography in the Deichtorhallen in 2003 and the permanent loan of the F.C. Gundlach Collection "The Image of Man in Photography", ideal conditions were created for a constant examination of the holdings of the F.C. Gundlach Foundation, which have been and continue to be made visible to the public not only in Hamburg, but all over the world in small and large exhibitions as well as accompanying publications.
