General information

Country Boy's Garden Center was established in 1986 by Allen & Lucy Walcher. Our original Country Boy's is located at 2917 Wade Hampton Boulevard, Taylors, SC. In our beginnings, we were simply a farm market, offering local fresh produce, some of which came from our own farm. We began adding indoor and outdoor plants and hanging baskets mostly to brighten the atmosphere of the storefront. With each passing year, our plants became our main focus. In 1995 we discontinued the sale of produce and focused exclusively on outdoor bedding plants, vegetable plants, herbs, perennials, and hanging baskets. As Country Boy's expanded, we added more sales area to accommodate garden and home accessories and gifts, and a year round Christmas Shop. In 2004 we added a second Country Boy's location at 1949 Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC. Country Boy's Garden Center continues to be operated by the Walcher family. As our family has grown, so has our business. The Walcher family has been blessed and honored to serve the greater Greenville area, and Upstate SC with one of the largest selections of quality plants, home and garden accessories, and Christmas merchandise from around the world. Most of our plants help support local growers in a 60 mile radius.
